Recap: We put offers on five (5) homes, the fifth offer was accepted, we did home inspections then backed out within our ten day grace period. We decided to hold off on our search for a while and rented a house in College Station.
Now back to our new house; we didn't get the keys until the sellers could sign (they live out of town, so they did their closing there) and the loan was funded. Tuesday, June 5th our Realtor delivered the keys. It is really exciting being homeowners again!
Our current lease isn't up until July 31st, but it gives us time to make a few repairs and changes to the home before moving into it. Those are almost complete! Yay! And... I haven't packed a single box. Uh, can you say procrastinator? We are ahead of schedule at the house, so technically, I haven't really procrastinated. :) We don't have an exact move date, but hopefully we will be moving within the next two weeks! Yippee!
Once we move and get settled, I will post some before and after pictures. Until then, I will leave you with a picture of our new home! :)
