Weekend Getaway

Last weekend we took a little road trip down to Houston to visit the Johnson Space Center and to check out the Kemah Boardwalk. Earlier in the summer I got an email that the Space Center had a promotion going with half-priced tickets. I was excited to take advantage of such a great deal!

We packed up and left early Saturday morning for the Space Center and spent the whole day there! It was so much fun! The kids loved the huge kids play area and really enjoyed the tram rides. The information was a little much for them, but one day they will understand it better.

Getting pictures these days is quite the task. Oscar is not into taking them at all! Each picture that he actually participated in, is because he was bribed with a to rocket from the gift shop. Don't judge. A mom's gotta do what a mom's gotta do! ;)

After the Space Center we headed to our hotel to check in and get cleaned up for dinner. We headed down to the Kemah Boardwalk and had dinner at Joe's Crab Shack. Addy and Oscar love seafood, so they were excited to eat shrimp and crab! After dinner we walked out to enjoy the games and rides of the Kemah Boardwalk. We have never been before and were surprised by all the activities available for the kids to do.

We left the boardwalk with two completely wore out kids! Thank goodness for late hotel checkouts. We really enjoyed our weekend getaway and look forward to taking them back.
